Former Genentech Employees Charged With Theft Of Trade Secrets

San Francisco, California - A federal grand jury indicted Xanthe Lam, Allen Lam, John Chan, and James Quach for stealing trade secrets from Genentech and related charges, announced United States Attorney Alex G. Tse and FBI Special Agent in Charge John F. Bennett. The indictment, handed down on October 25, 2018, and unsealed today, alleges that the defendants stole confidential Genentech information to help a company in Taiwan create and sell drugs similar to those that were created by Genentech.

San Jose, California - A federal grand jury has indicted South Bay doctor Venkat Aachi, charging him with distributing hydrocodone outside the scope of his professional practice and without a legitimate medical need, and with health care fraud related to the submission of false and fraudulent claims regarding the health care benefits, announced United States Attorney Alex G. Valley Springs Man Sentenced To 25 Years

Fresno, California - Nicholas Carroll Watkins, 30, of Valley Springs, was sentenced Monday by Chief U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. O’Neill to 25 years in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release for receiving material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced.  Watkins will also be required to register as a sex offender.
