The newest Chargers include All-Big Ten linebacker Joshua Perry from The Ohio State University in Round 4 (102nd overall), 2015 Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year linebacker Jatavis Brown from Akron in Round 5 (175th overall), first-team All-SEC punter Drew Kaser from Texas A&M in Round 6 (179th overall), four-time Academic All-Big Ten fullback Derek Watt from Wisconsin in Round 6 (198th overall) and All-Big Ten guard Donavon Clark from Michigan State to conclude the Bolts’ draft in Round 7 (224th overall).

Irving, Texas - Former San Diego State football long snapper Jeff Overbaugh (Anchorage, Alaska) has been named to the 2016 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced today. To be eligible for the award, the athlete must own at least a 3.2 undergraduate GPA, complete his final year of eligibility in 2015 and be a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2015 campaign.

San Diego, California - San Diego State men’s basketball head coach Steve Fisher announced today that guard Parker U’u has decided to leave the program and pursue basketball opportunities at another school. U’u is set to participate in commencement ceremonies at SDSU in May and by graduating, will be eligible immediately.

San Diego, California - Three San Diego State water polo players were voted to the all-Golden Coast first team and two other Aztecs were recognized for their effort during the team’s third straight successful run to the GCC regular season title. Landing on the first team were Alyssa Diacono, Caroline Israels and Rachel Mitchell, while Taylor Gums was an honorable mention pick and Hannah Carrillo made the all-freshman squad.
