FBI and San Diego Police Department Seeking Tips Regarding Robber

San Diego, California - The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the individual responsible for a bank robbery in San Diego, California.

On May 15, 2019, at approximately 3:14 p.m., a lone male entered the Citibank, located at 5998 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, California. The robber entered the bank, approached one teller, and made a verbal demand for cash. After receiving a sum of cash, the robber fled on foot.

The robber, described below, made attempts to disguise his identity by wearing baggy clothing including a large, black, hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. Surveillance cameras inside the bank captured photographs of the individual wanted for this robbery. In the surveillance photographs, the robber can be seen wearing the hood of the sweatshirt to cover his head, a bandana to cover the lower portion of his face, and sunglasses to hide his eyes. In addition, the robber wore gloves to conceal his hands.

Sex: Male
Race: Hispanic
Age: Late 20s-Early 30s
Build/Weight: Large
Height: Approximately 5’6”
Clothing: Black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, American flag bandana, sunglasses, gloves, tennis shoes
Weapon: None seen or threatened during the robbery
