- The top-seeded Aztecs are in the Mountain West championship game after defeating fifth-seeded Colorado College, 2-0, on Thursday. SDSU received goals from Zsuria Phare (71st minute) and Dani DeRosa (85th minute) to emerge victorious.

- San Diego State is playing in its fourth consecutive Mountain West final and is 3-0 in the previous three.

- The Aztecs are playing in their seventh MW final and are 4-2 in the game. Champions: 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014. Finalists: 1999, 2004.

- SDSU is looking to become the first Mountain West program in any sport to ever win four straight regular-season and tournament titles.

- San Diego State is in the MW final for the fourth time in five seasons in which it has played host to the event (1999, 2012, 2014, 2015). The Aztecs did not advance to the final in 2010.

- The Aztecs have won seven consecutive Mountain West tournament games. Their last loss came in 2011.

- SDSU has won 11 straight games, which is the third-longest streak in school history (14 in 2012, 12 in 1998).

- The Aztecs are 9-0 at SDSU Sports Deck this season and have won 10 straight at home dating to last season. San Diego State is 10-0-1 in its last 11 home games.

- SDSU has outscored its foes, 27-5, this season at home. Only three teams have scored against the Aztecs at home: USD - 3, Fresno State - 1, San José State - 1. On the flip side, San Diego State is averaging 3.0 goals per game on campus, was never shut out and was held to just one goal once (Florida Gulf Coast).

- The match-up features the top offensive team during conference play (San Diego State) and the top defense (SJSU). The Spartans, however, gave up just one fewer goal than the Aztecs (6-7).

- The Aztecs defeated the Spartans on Senior Day, 2-1, back on Oct. 18. SJSU scored in the fourth minute (Dorthe Hoppius), but SDSU scored in the fifth (Aliyah Utush) and 56th minutes (Leah Pruitt) to earn the victory.

- San Diego State is 9-1 all-time vs. San José State and is currently on a nine-game winning streak vs. the Bay Area school. SDSU is 6-0 vs. SJSU in San Diego.

- Goalkeeper Melanie Vaughn is one shutout away from setting the new school record. The senior has 25.5 clean sheets and trails only Aubree Southwick’s 26 (2007-10).
