Lakeside, California - Have you heard them yet? You will. Whiny voices saying, “I’m booorrred.”
You make a million suggestions, but according to your kids, there’s still nothing to do.
There are two words for you: Summer Camp. County Parks is offering day camps throughout the summer at its three community centers located in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley. Some programs last all day and others for half days, but there is something sure to please your little princess, Jedi or preteen.
The classes are separated into different age groups ranging from three to 12 years old. Prices depend on the hours and length of the camp session. Some sessions are ongoing while others begin Monday, July 7.
Fallbrook Community Center is offering sessions as varied as rocketry and astronomy, fabric arts, and piñatas. And don’t forget the session on slimes, submarines and spooky spy stuff. Lakeside Community Center has offerings in princess and superhero camp, gymnastics and LEGO Jedi engineering. Spring Valley offers Camp Rabbit Track for children ages 5 to 8 and Camp Roadrunner for 9 to 12-year-olds. Both camps feature games, sports, arts and crafts, and more.
So the next time your kids complain about the summer boredom doldrums, remember kids just wanna have fun and that means summer camp!
