Pine Valley, California - The Pine Valley Sheriff's Substation in East County is now open. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held today and members of the public were given a tour of their newest facility. Among those in attendance included Sheriff Bill Gore, Supervisor Dianne Jacob, as well as local law enforcement and county leaders

The Pine Valley Sheriff's Substation is located at 28696 Old Highway 80. 38 deputies, staff and volunteers will work at the new one story building. They will serve 7,980 people who live in Pine Valley, Guatay, Descanso, Mount Laguna, Boulevard and Jacumba. It took almost a year to build the $3.75 million facility.
