San Diego, California - On March 5th, 2014 more than 15,000 San Diego State Students will walk through Centennial and have the opportunity to engage, buy and interact with a multitude of San Diego State student and alumni companies.
Known as Entrepreneur Day this annual event brings together SDSU alumni and student run companies to showcase and sell their products, promote their business and energize the campus with the spirit of entrepreneurship. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. throughout Centennial Walkway companies such as ShakeSmart, Solo Eyewear, Volcom, Pura Vida, and Oggi’s will be part of the “entrepreneur village"
In addition, student entrepreneurs will be selling their own exciting products including iPhone accessories, skateboards, clothing, and organic ice cream
“Entrepreneur Day is one of the many things the Lavin Entrepreneurship center does on the experiential side of education,” said Director of the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center Alex DeNoble. “At San Diego State University we believe in fusing what the students learn in a classroom with getting the experience of actually being an entrepreneur.
Students who participate in Entrepreneur Day gain valuable insights into what is involved in actually starting a real company
Entrepreneur Day is hosted by the SDSU Entrepreneur Society, in collaboration with the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center, and brings together SDSU alumni and student run companies to celebrate a mutual passion for entrepreneurship.
