San Diego, California - David Poulson will visit San Diego State University to lecture on “Eagles and Beer: Explaining the Environment in a New Media Landscape.”

Poulson, who is the associate director of MSU’s Knight Center for Environmental Journalism at Michigan State University and founder/editor of Great Lakes Echo, will discuss how the intersection of media and science has produced exciting new tools for telling the science story.

The lecture is sponsored by the SDSU Center for Science and Media, a collaboration of the School of Journalism and Media Studies, College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts, and the College of Sciences. The Center’s primary mission is to educate the public about science, through the strategic and ethical use of media.

Future colloquium events will be in October and November. All events are free and open to the public.
