San Diego, California - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at ports of entry along the California/Mexico border over the weekend seized a total of about 328 pounds of narcotics, valued at approximately $2 million.

San Diego, California - Late Sunday evening, U.S. Border Patrol agents working near the U.S./Mexico International Border arrested a group of Mexican nationals who had entered the U.S. illegally.  The foot guide in the group was later identified as Ezequiel Villanueva-Perez, a member of a criminal cell that operated in the Campo area in 2009 and was responsible for rapes, kidnappings, and murders.

San Diego, California - Veteran U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer Lorne “Hammer” Jones was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Marilyn Huff to seven and a half years in custody for his role in a decade-long crime spree in which he sold his badge to alien-smuggling groups and ultimately to marijuana transportation cells working for Mexican drug cartels. In court, the defendant acknowledged he has waived his right to appeal.
