Dahlgren, Virginia - Twenty officers graduated from Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center's (SMWDC) Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) course during a ceremony held at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC) at Naval Support Facility Dahlgren, December 1.

Escondido, California - After 11,000 votes were cast, the results are in! The two tiger cubs residing at Tull Family Tiger Trail at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park now have names. Six possible names with origins in the tigers’ ancestral homes were selected by tiger keepers for each cub, and the public voted for their favorites in a contest on the San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s Facebook page. The contest started November 22 and ran through November 29.

San Diego, California - Retired Chief Warrant 2 and World War II veteran, Arthur "Art" Roemmich, celebrated his 100th birthday at a ceremony held at Admiral Baker Clubhouse November 27.

New York - A federal court in New York entered consent decrees in two civil actions, permanently barring 14 individuals and entities from operating alleged multi-million dollar international mail-fraud schemes.

Border traffic volumes peak at various times during this period, especially on weekends.
