Encinitas, California - The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Citibank branch located 113 North El Camino Real in Encinitas, California, on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
On Saturday, March 15, 2014, at approximately 11.37 a.m., the Citibank branch located at 113 North El Camino Real in Encinitas, California, was robbed by an unknown male armed with a handgun.
At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank yelling for everyone to “get down” on the floor. The robber was armed with a black handgun that he pointed at bank employees throughout the robbery. The robber approached the teller counter and demanded money from both tellers. While the tellers were providing the robber with money, he continued his demands for more money. After receiving a sum of money from both tellers, the robber exited the bank headed east.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:
- Sex: Male
- Race: White
- Build: Medium
- Height: Approximately 5’8” tall
- Hair: Brown
- Clothing: Blue jeans, blue hooded zipper jacket, dark sunglasses, blue gloves, and dark sunglasses
