| Assault Suspect Sought by San Diego County Crime Stoppers |

San Diego, California - San Diego County Crime Stoppers is joining forces with the San Diego Police Department’s Central Division detectives to help apprehend the suspect responsible for attacking a woman on August 8, 2009. The victim was on an elevator inside the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel (One Market Place) at about 2 a.m. The suspect got onto the elevator and asked the victim how to get to a particular floor. As the victim began to leave the elevator on the 25th floor, the suspect grabbed her from behind, put his hand over her mouth and forced her to the floor. He reached for the button to close the elevator doors but was unsuccessful. The victim ran from the elevator. The suspect rode the elevator to the second floor and left the hotel. Suspect description: White male, 26 - 30, 6’1” to 6’2”, 180 – 185 lbs, brownish-blonde hair in a military style cut, cleanshaven wearing a black t-shirt with a white logo on the front and back and blue jeans. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
