San Francisco, California - The San Diego State men’s soccer team was predicted to finish fifth in the Pac-12 Men’s Soccer Coaches Poll, the conference recently announced.

The Aztecs received eight points in the poll, placing them ahead of sixth-place Oregon State (six points) and behind fourth-place California (15 points). UCLA (24 points) was picked to win the conference after receiving four first-place votes, while defending-champion Washington landed in second place with 19 points and Stanford was third in the poll with 18 points.

San Diego State will be in action tonight in a road exhibition match against cross-town foe University of San Diego, beginning at 7 p.m. PT. A live stream and live stats of the match will be available on SDSU officially begins the 2014 season at home against CSU Bakersfield on Friday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m. PT.

The Aztecs have the nation’s 37th-ranked recruiting class and return eight letterwinners for the 2014 campaign. San Diego State will play 11 contests against teams which made the 2013 NCAA Tournament, and take on seven teams that appear in the NSCAA preseason top 25 or are receiving votes.
