San Diego, California - The San Diego State football team will hold its annual Red & Black game on Wednesday, March 26, beginning at 7 p.m. PT. This year’s game will take place on the football practice field behind the SDSU Sports Deck.

Gates open at 6 p.m. PT for the game, which is free to the public. There will be no merchandise sales on site, but the bookstore will be open until 7 p.m. PT for GradFest.

Similar to last year, the game will consist of two halves lasting 30 minutes each. The first half will be played with a regular game clock, while the second half will utilize a running clock except for the final two minutes of the half. Once again the Aztecs will split into two teams (Red vs. Black) for the scrimmage.

The scrimmage signifies the end of SDSU’s spring practice in preparation for the 2014 season. San Diego State is coming off an 8-5 year (6-2 Mountain West) in 2013, which culminated in a 49-24 victory over Buffalo in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on December 21. It was the Aztecs’ school-record fourth consecutive bowl game appearance.

SDSU begins the 2014 season on August 30 at home against Northern Arizona.
