San Diego, California - San Diego State women’s tennis head coach Peter Mattera announced today the signing of Agustina Rimoldi Godoy to a National Letter of Intent for the upcoming season. The incoming freshman is set to join the Aztecs in the fall for the 2018-19 campaign.

“Agustina is a tremendous athlete and a fierce competitor,” Mattera said. “She is going to really help elevate our team and be a wonderful addition to the athletic department and the university. We are very proud that Agustina has chosen to become an Aztec!”

Rimoldi Godoy is a recent graduate of the SEADEA High School in Argentina and boasts a current No. 27 women’s ranking in Argentina. She has been ranked as high as No. 406 in the ITF rankings and earlier this year, won the El Abierto tournaments in Buenos Aires and claimed her first WTA point in a tournament in Villa Dolores, Argentina.

Rimoldi Godoy joins an Aztec women’s tennis program that has seen years of success on the court and in the classroom, boasting 11 conference championships, 74 academic all-MW Conference awards and three Academic All-Americans during Mattera’s time as head coach.
