San Diego, California - The San Diego State football team will play host to San José State on Oct. 20 in its annual Homecoming Game at SDCCU Stadium. The game is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT.

San Diego, California - A day after earning Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, junior first baseman Jordan Verdon was named Mountain West Player of the Week after hitting three home runs and driving in 10 runs over four games last week. Verdon joins SDSU junior designated hitter Chad Bible as the only players in the Mountain West to have won Player of the Week twice this season. 

San Diego, California - The San Diego State Track & Field team heads to the Mountain West Outdoor Championships this week. The meet is hosted by Fresno State and will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. The Aztecs, who won the Outdoor Championship last year, will be going for their fourth title in the past six years.

La Jolla, California - The University of California San Diego softball team drew the fifth seed and will meet fourth-seeded California Baptist in the opening round of an NCAA Division II West Regional. The association announced its postseason selections Monday.

San Diego, California - The San Diego State baseball team won its road series opener against Mountain West foe New Mexico, 11-5, on Friday night. SDSU extends its winning streak to seven games and improves to 32-14 (14-7) on the year, while New Mexico drops to 15-29-1 (8-17 MW). With Nevada's 4-2 win over Fresno State on Friday night, the Aztecs remain a game back of first place in the Mountain West standings.

La Jolla, California - Outfielder Kelsi Maday was named Most Valuable Player and pitcher Robyn Wampler was tabbed Freshman of the Year as five University of California San Diego softball players earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) recognition for their outstanding play during the 2018 season. The conference announced its annual award recipients Friday on the opening day of its postseason tournament.

San Francisco, California - The 46th-ranked San Diego State women’s golf team begins its quest for postseason glory when it travels to the Bay Area to compete in the NCAA San Francisco Regional, May 7-9, in San Francisco, Calif. The Aztecs, who are making their fifth consecutive regional appearance and eighth in the last nine years, will be among the field vying for a spot in the NCAA championship series, scheduled for May 18-23 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
