San Diego, California - San Diego State men’s basketball head coach Brian Dutcher announced Monday that Rod Palmer, who spent the last 11 seasons as an assistant coach at Long Beach State, including the last four as the associate head coach, has been named an assistant coach at SDSU.

Fresno, California - The San Diego State softball team run-ruled league-leading Fresno State, 10-0, in five innings to take the series opener Friday night at Margie Wright Diamond in Fresno, Calif. It is the first time in Mountain West history that the Bulldogs (27-16, 10-3 MW) were run-ruled in a league game.

Chula Vista, California - The San Diego State rowing team claimed the Patty Wyatt Perpetual Trophy Friday morning for a consecutive season, downing UCSD 13-0 in its races on Otay Reservoir at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. The Aztecs secured each of the available points with wins in all four events and honored their senior rowers at the race.

San Diego, California - The San Diego State rowing team is set to compete in a number of head-to-head races against UCSD this Friday, April 20, now scheduled for 8 a.m. The two teams will face off for the Patty Wyatt Perpetual Trophy on the Otay Reservoir at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center.

San Diego, California - The San Diego State men’s golf team will be aiming for its fourth conference title in the last eight seasons this weekend when it travels to the Pacific Northwest for the Mountain West Championship, April 20-22, in Bremerton, Wash. For the first time in conference history, the 54-hole event will be contested on the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain  Golf Club, which will play as a par-72, 7,115-yard track.

San Diego, California - San Diego State will be competing in three different meets, spanning four days across Southern California this week. The Bryan Clay Invitational runs April 18-20 at Azuza Pacific and the Beach Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays are April 20-21 at Long Beach State and El Camino College respectively. In total 27 Aztecs will be competing during the week with 13 competing in multiple events and four competing at two separate meets.
