San Diego, California - Already the place to be seen and scene, San Diego’s Rooftop Cinema Club at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, the premier destination for movie-watchers in America’s Finest City, today announced its latest releases online.

This May and June will feature a series of films that will pay homage to Women in Film, the upcoming Royal Wedding, films that have a strong San Diego flavor, and several others that are celebrating noteworthy film anniversaries in 2018.

The latest releases will roll out with the highly-acclaimed and award-nominated sci-fi thriller, Black Panther, on Saturday, May 12. Black Panther sets the stage for a week of great titles that include Dazed and Confused (Tuesday, May 15), which is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its 1993 release; three-time Oscar Award-winner and Steven Spielberg’s frightening thriller, Jaws, on Wednesday, May 16; the Oscar Award-winning GoodFellas, starring Robert DeNiro, Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci, on Thursday, May 17; Coming to America (Friday, May 18), which celebrates its 20thanniversary in 2018, before finally, a nod to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding will cap off the week when Bridesmaids takes a trip down the aisle on Saturday, May 19.

Plenty of additional cinematic classics await San Diegans as the slate continues. Women in film will be celebrated with a pair of gems, starting with Girls Trip, starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith (Saturday, May 26), followed by the fantasy/horror thriller, The Craft, just three days following on Tuesday, May 29.

San Diego also will re-claim its beloved place in the Rooftop Cinema spotlight when one of the most-popular films in RCC history, Top Gun, based on the city’s infamous Top Gun flight school and starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer, returns to the screen at the Grand Hyatt on Friday, June 1. And Almost Famous, the Cameron Crowe classic starring Kate Hudson which includes cameos of Ocean Beach, Balboa Park and the San Diego Sports Arena, rolls off the projector just five days later on Wednesday, June 6.

Other great films celebrating noteworthy anniversaries on the May-June ledger include the Alfred Hitchcock thriller, Vertigo, on Tuesday, June 5. Vertigo celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2018 after being released in 1958. And one of the most-popular movies of all-time, the 1978 cult-classic, Grease, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, will run on Friday, June 8 in celebration of its 40 years on the giant screen.

San Diego’s Rooftop Cinema Club is open to adults 18-and-over. Ticket prices start at just $17 per person for a single deck-chair beneath the stars. For $20, you can receive a single deck-chair along with bottomless popcorn, and for just $24 apiece, a couple can enjoy a film in the comfort of a double love-seat while also enjoying bottomless popcorn.

And for fans who drive themselves to the Rooftop Cinema Club, you can self-park in Manchester Grand Hyatt’s parking garage and receive a free four-hour validation (self-parking only) with any food or beverage purchase on-site, including the Rooftop Concession Stand (excluding candy and popcorn).

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for all showings and the movies begin from around sunset, with start times varying.
