San Diego, California - San Diego County District Attorney Summer Stephan today asked for the public’s help in identifying potential victims of an auto theft crime spree in which hundreds of items of suspected stolen property have been recovered. As part of an auto theft investigation initiated by the Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATT) in Chula Vista, two defendants were arrested and charged in the case involving more than 50 victims.

Fallbrook, California - On Sunday, at 4:19PM, deputies assigned to the Fallbrook Sheriff's Station were dispatched to N. Ridge Drive in Fallbrook to investigate a carjacking. The reporting party indicated that he traveling in his vehicle, when was confronted by an unknown suspect who placed trashcans in the street as barricades; and began yelling at him. The victim fled on foot from the suspect, and the suspect fled in the victim's work vehicle, an Amazon delivery truck.

El Cajon, California - On April 28, 2018, the San Diego Sheriff's Department's Court Services Bureau-Field Division conducted a warrant sweep in the East County region. The areas affected by the sweep included the City of El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, Alpine, Pine Valley and the unincorporated area of El Cajon. The focus of the operation was on the apprehension of subjects with outstanding warrants regardless of charge or bail amount.
