FDA and DHS increase coordination of responses to medical device cybersecurity threats

Washington, DC - As part of the Administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cybersecurity in health care, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a memorandum of agreement to implement a new framework for greater coordination and cooperation between the two agencies for addressing cybersecurity in medical devices.

First Human West Nile Virus Case of 2018 Reported in San Diego County

San Diego, California - A 91-year-old man from La Jolla has been confirmed as the first person in San Diego County in 2018 to test positive for West Nile virus, the County Health and Human Services Agency announced Friday.
