St. James, London - Good Morning.  On behalf of the Attorney General of the United States, Jeff Sessions, I want to express appreciation to INTERPOL for inviting me here today, specifically the members of the Wildlife Crime Working Group and its chair, Grant Miller, and the members of the Environmental Crimes Enforcement Committee and its chair, Calum McDonald.  I also want to express appreciation to Her Majesty’s Government for hosting this week’s series of important meetings and events on the topic of wildlife trafficking.

Leader of International Cyber Fraud Ring Returned to United States to Face Federal Racketeering Charges

Washington, DC - A Romanian national was returned to the United States Friday to face federal charges that accuse him of being the leader of an international cyber fraud ring that used malware to steal in excess of four million dollars after taking people’s passwords, personal identifying information, and bank account information.

Washington, DC - On Blind Americans Equality Day, we recognize the contributions that Americans who are blind and visually impaired make to our country, and the value of creating greater opportunities for all people to live full and independent lives.  Despite facing challenges, Americans who are blind and visually impaired continue to achieve their dreams and strengthen our communities and our Nation.  We remain committed to helping these individuals to be successful and achieve their goals in school, business, and civic life.

CDFA joins in Firewood Awareness Month

Sacramento, California - CDFA joins the rest of the nation in observing the designation of October as Firewood Awareness Month. We are providing a video on the invasive species risk of moving firewood as well as tips from our Division of Measurement Standards for those buying firewood to make sure you get what you pay for.  CDFA is a partner in in the “Buy It Where You Burn It” campaign, urging people to not move firewood.
