Somerset, England - The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals takes its mandate seriously and goes to great lengths to fulfill its duties. So, it comes as no surprise that RSPCA officer Alison Sparkes did what she did when called upon in Somerset, England recently.
According to the Association of Mature American Citizens, she rescued a pet hamster that was trapped in a pipe for a week. It’s owners had tried desperately to rescue Jamie the hamster with no success and finally decided to call for help. Officer Sparkes responded and when all other means failed, she came up with the idea to make a teensy ladder using wire mesh. She inserted it in the pipe allowing Jamie to climb to safety.
