California Man Charged with Federal Hate Crimes for Poway Synagogue Shooting

San Diego, California - The Department of Justice Thursday charged a California man with federal hate crimes, including the murder of one person and the attempted murder of 53 others, for his actions during the April 27 shooting at the Chabad of Poway Synagogue in California. Assistant Attorney General Eric Dreiband for the Civil Rights Division, U.S. Attorney Robert S. Los Angeles, California - A San Fernando Valley man was arrested last Friday night after he received what he thought was a live bomb, but in fact was an inert explosive device that was delivered by an undercover law enforcement officer as part of an investigation by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Founder of Local Technology Company Charged With Operating a $60 Million Investment Fraud

San Diego, California - Jonny Ngo, the former president and chief executive officer of NL Technology, LLC, was arraigned on a 21-count indictment charging him with wire fraud, mail fraud and money laundering in connection with operating a $65 million investment fraud. The hearing took place in federal court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mitchell D. Dembin after the indictment was unsealed.
